You see me

This physical theater production explores the limitations and definitions of blackness through contemporary dance, film, and theater. Characters weave through scenes of black romance, black achievement, navigating white fear, performing blackness, and facing the internal duality of self-perception that conflicts with an internalized white lens. This is a journey of self-love and self-discovery while learning to exist through the absurd situations many black people experience on a daily basis. While humorously ironic and cathartic, this show manages to dig into the psychological impacts of experiencing, performing, and commodifying blackness as it contrasts with whiteness.
